It has a fantastic sense burntt humour — the ‘Find-Outers’ being kid-speak for detectives, naming the grumpy policeman Clear-Orf because he’s always yelling ‘Clear off! He didn’t offer to order me a copy and I didn’t realise that he could have done. I highly reccommend them. I thought Enid Blyton was a genius for her ideas, not realising that they are hardly sophisticated crimes and any policeman other than the hapless Goon would have wrapped up the cases by the end of chapter 2.
Childhood innocence, with a tad of mischief, and always in good manners.
